Stable operation of the station
Biological Treatment Plants KANN® ULTRA-Series
for the treatment of domestic sewage
The KANN ULTRA series deep biological wastewater treatment station is designed for the biological treatment of domestic sewage in individual drainage systems for cottages, country houses, standalone buildings, infrastructure facilities, and other decentralized sewage systems.
At the stations, an environmentally friendly technology for biological treatment of wastewater is implemented using autotrophic and heterotrophic microorganisms, operating under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, with stabilization of excess sludge followed by further purification processes.
All structural elements of the KANN ULTRA series stations are made from corrosion-resistant material – polyethylene. The housing is based on a spiral-wound pipe (SWT KANN) with a wall thickness of 30 mm. The product is welded using butt and extrusion welding techniques, ensuring high strength of the weld joints. The stations are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of GOST 25298-82 - Compact treatment facilities for domestic wastewater.
The station is a cylindrical tank divided into 5 (five) technological chambers/zones, interconnected by gravity overflow and pre-installed airlifts. Each station allows for the discharge of treated water either by gravity drainage or by means of a forced discharge pump (the pump is provided optionally).
The KANN ULTRA series station is suitable for both permanent living and seasonal use (cottage version). All structural elements and details of the ULTRA series stations that come into contact with wastewater are made of corrosion-resistant polymers. Maintenance of the station involves periodic pumping out excess sludge. Pumping is done using a drainage pump (which is lowered through the service hatch) or with a sludge suction machine.
The horizontal biological treatment station KANN series ULTRA has a capacity of 1,000 to 5,000 liters per day and is designed for a population of 4 to 25 people. The principle of operation of the septic system is based on fine bubble aeration, which is created by the aeration unit supplied as part of the package. By supplying air to the station, as well as through additional purification mechanisms, wastewater is fully treated to a level of 98%. The water produced at the outlet is odorless, clear, and colorless. Such water can be drained into the ground.

Model calculation and selection
The performance of the biological wastewater treatment station (SBO) is determined by the amount of wastewater (m3) processed per day. Calculations are typically made based on the number of permanent users. The water consumption norms per user (consumer) are defined in TКP 45-4.01-56-2012. For residential buildings with hot and cold water supply and sewage systems with bathtubs, the average daily water consumption norm per user is 150/200 liters.
To determine the performance of the station, multiply the maximum number of users by the water consumption per user per day. For example, the station 'KANN ULTRA-5' has a performance of 1000 liters per day (1 m3/day) for servicing 5 people.
