Biological Treatment Plants KANN® ECO-Series
for the treatment of domestic sewage
The KANN ECO series deep biological wastewater treatment station is designed for the biological treatment of domestic sewage in individual wastewater disposal systems for cottages, country houses, standalone buildings, infrastructure facilities, and other decentralized sewage systems.
The stations implement an environmentally friendly technology for biological wastewater treatment using autotrophic and heterotrophic microorganisms that operate under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, with stabilization of excess sludge followed by additional purification processes.
All structural elements of the KANN ECO series station are made of corrosion-resistant material – polyethylene. The body is based on a spiral-wound tube (KANN SWT) with a wall thickness of at least 30 mm. The welding of the product is carried out using butt and extrusion welding, ensuring high strength of the weld seams. The stations are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of GOST 25298-82 – Compact installations for the treatment of domestic sewage.
The station consists of a cylindrical vessel divided into three technological chambers/zones, interconnected by gravitational overflow and pre-installed airlifts. Each station provides the option for discharging treated water either through gravity drainage or via a pumping sump.
The KANN ECO series station is suitable for both permanent and seasonal living (summer house option). All structural elements and parts of the ECO series stations that come into contact with wastewater are made of corrosion-resistant polymers. Maintenance of the station involves periodic pumping of excess sludge. Pumping is carried out using a drainage pump (submerged through the maintenance hatch) or with a vacuum truck.
The horizontal biological treatment station KANN series ECO has a capacity of 400 to 2250 liters per day and is designed for a population of 2 to 15 people. The principle of operation of the septic system is based on fine-bubble aeration, created by the aeration unit included in the package. By supplying air to the station and using additional treatment mechanisms, wastewater is purified to a level of 98%. The treated water at the outlet is odorless, transparent, and colorless. This water can be drained into the soil.

Model calculation and selection
The performance of the biological wastewater treatment station (SBO) is determined by the volume of wastewater (m3) per day. The calculation is generally made based on the number of permanent users. The water consumption standards per user (consumer) are defined in TКP 45-4.01-56-2012. For residential buildings with hot and cold water supply and sewerage with bathtubs, the average daily water consumption per user is 150/200 liters.
To determine the performance of the station, it is necessary to multiply the maximum number of users by the daily water consumption per user. For example, the "KANN ECO-6" station, designed to service 6 people, has a performance of 900 liters per day (1.2 m³/day).
